What is the Moultrie Technical College Foundation?
The Moultrie Technical College Foundation, established in 1980, is 501 (c)(3) organization created solely to support Moultrie Technical College. Its' mission is to encourage, solicit, receive and manage gifts, bequests of property and funds for educational and charitable purposes at Moultrie Technical College. The Foundation strives to stimulate community awareness of the benefits offered by our college and to supplement available resources through private funding. We passionately support the college in its mission to contribute to the economic and educational development of our community. The MTC Foundation welcomes ideas and input.
Who serves on the Moultrie Technical College Foundation?
Community volunteers serve on the Foundation as its Board of Directors. The directors are men and women who act on behalf of the Foundation using their respective areas of expertise to fulfill the Foundation’s mission and to be good stewards of the Foundation's resources.
As a public college supported by our taxes, why does the Foundation need to raise private dollars?
State funding is decreasing at an alarming rate and the Georgia DTAE budget is able to provide funding for only basic construction and renovation projects for all of its 34 colleges.
