Learning Support
Learning Support admission is granted to students who do not meet the regular or provisional admissions requirements. Placement into developmental courses is determined from the student’s scores on the admissions placement exam. Based upon test results, the student may be recommended to take classes in developmental English, reading, and/or math. The amount of time spent in Learning Support depends upon the individual student’s needs and progress.
Upon overcoming deficiencies in English, reading, and/or math, Learning Support students may be eligible for regular or provisional admission.
Learning Support
and Financial Aid
Students admitted exclusively to Learning Support are not eligible for Title IV Aid such
as Pell, SEOG, and Federal Work-Study. HOPE Funds
will cover Learning Support courses required
to complete a certificate, diploma, or degree;
however, the hours paid for these courses will
be included in the applicable HOPE hour caps.
