The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is designed to prepare economically disadvantaged youth, unskilled adults, or people facing serious barriers to employment, with the training necessary for entry into the labor force. For those who qualify, WIA will pay the cost of tuition, fees, books, and may pay a stipend for each day of attendance.
