The libraries at Moultrie Technical College support the College's mission to provide a culture of learning through occupational education, academic education, business and industry training and workforce development by providing organized access to information resources and services.

The MTC Library System specifically incorporates the objectives listed below in support of each program offered.

(1)               Provide accessible, comfortable and adaptable facilities capable of accommodating student, faculty and staff needs. 

(2)               Provide specialized staff and support personnel who do the following:

(a)     promote, guide, and direct access to information and materials;

(b)     provide assistance and training in using library resources, to include providing an ongoing orientation program to students, faculty and staff; and,

(c)      share expertise among MTC libraries and other libraries.

(3)               Provide a variety of current and relevant educational learning resources, including references books, periodicals, manuals, audio-visual media, and other media materials.

(4)               Provide access to a collection of periodicals, database and electronic resources through the Internet.

(5)               Provide access to GALILEO (Georgia Library Learning Online).

(6)               Provide linkages to libraries, agencies and other institutions to facilitate direct access to and the sharing of resources.

(7)               Provide instructional support focusing on the information literacy skills needed to find, retrieve, analyze and use information effectively.

In addition to the main and satellite campus libraries, some instructional programs house and manage materials/resources within their classrooms and/or laboratories. These materials and/or resources are relevant and specialized for the specific programs served.
