Moultrie Tech to Hold First-Ever Miss MTC Pageant

MOULTRIE , GA. Sixteen contestants will vie for the title of Miss MTC in Moultrie Technical College’s first annual pageant on Tuesday evening, November 30 th. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the conference center of the college’s Veterans Parkway campus in Moultrie.

The contestants, all current Moultrie Tech students representing various academic programs, will compete in evening wear, professional wear and interview skills categories.

The winner will serve for a full year representing the college in the community across MTC’s service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth counties and through student recruiting events following her crowning as Miss MTC. Pageant runners-up and the winner will receive gifts to recognize their accomplishments.

Moultrie Tech president Dr. Tina Anderson said of the event, “We’re excited about the student serving as an ambassador for the technical education system and particularly for Moultrie Tech.”

Pageant contestants are Renee Boney, Camille Bruce, Mary Ellyn Bullington, Casey Conger, Amanda Faircloth, Carah Franks, Ashli Garrick, Johnni Gonyea, Shavaun Hall, Diane Hill, Heather Hutchinson, Eryn Jones, Mina Modi, Noemi Prieto, Arian Patrice Spencer and Jocelyn Wilcox.

Pageant entertainment will be provided by the Colquitt County High School Serenaders and vocalist Kalley Sangster.

General admission for the pageant is $5.00. Moultrie Tech students, faculty and staff are admitted at no charge with proper college identification. For more information regarding the pageant, contact the MTC Student Services office at (229) 891-7000.
