PBL Partnership With Business -
Colquitt Regional Medical Center

Phi Beta Lambda [PBL], Moultrie Technical College’s student business organization, recently offered two free computer classes to employees of Colquitt Regional Medical Center.  John Gay, an MTC Computer Information Systems [CIS] student, taught a two-hour class explaining the basics of computer use. April Gordon, also a CIS student, offered a class on how to use the Internet and word processing.  Both classes were attended by CRMC employees ranging in age from 34 to 79.  The classes were part of the PBL’s annual Partnership with Business Project, which is designed to build alliances between the student organization and local businesses.  The students will present their project in a competition with other Georgia technical colleges at the upcoming PBL GA state conference in Atlanta in April.  Pictured from left to right are John Gay, PBL parliamentarian, April Gordon, Partnership with Business Project co-chair, Sheila Key, CRMC assistant director of information systems, and Gidget Lacey, CRMC clinical analyst.
