Local Career Fair Offers
Solutions for Job Seekers

Approximately 50 businesses and industries will gather on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Moultrie Technical College’s Conference Center on the Veterans Parkway campus in Moultrie. Moultrie Tech and the Georgia Department of Labor will join forces to present the 2006Community Career Fair. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The event is open to the public as well as all Moultrie Tech students and graduates. The purpose of this event is to familiarize the businesses and industries in our region and job seekers with one another.

Whether or not employers have jobs to offer at this time, job seekers will be interested in learning about local companies and what skills they would expect their employees to possess. In turn, businesses may find matches for future employment. Industries expected to be at the fair include health care, industrial manufacturing, sales and banking, among others.

Additionally, job seekers are encouraged to bring updated resumes and all information necessary to complete job applications on site. Furthermore, to create a positive first impression with employers, participants should come dressed in business attire.

Admission and parking for the fair are free. All participants who register at the door will be eligible for door prizes throughout the day. For more details about the 2006 Community Career Fair, contact Melissa Willis at (229) 217-4148.
