MTC to Hold Small Business and Entrepreneurship Seminar Led by Moultrie Native Elisa Comer
MOULTRIE , GA. Moultrie Technical College’s Economic Development Services, in partnership with the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce, will host an economic development seminar focusing on Small Business and Entrepreneurship featuring Moultrie native, Elisa Comer. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, March 29 th at 8:30 am on the MTC Veterans Parkway campus.
Comer is currently residing in Johnson City, Tennessee, and is CEO and owner of Eagle’s Landing Transcription Service (ELTS). She has a unique story to tell in which she will share her challenges and successes since the start-up of her business in 1999 at home in Locust Grove, Georgia. ELTS has grown tremendously since that home based start-up and currently serves over 13 states throughout the nation in medical transcription, electronic medical record creation and other support services such as network design and support.
ELTS has been recognized in Tennessee as well as throughout the nation. Comer currently provides training and public relations support to professional medical organizations such as AHIMA, AAMT and HCCA. She also serves on the CareSpark RHIO board regarding electronic health records information and was awarded the 2005 Tennessee Small Business Person of the Year for her hard work, innovative ideas and dedication to her community. ELTS recently won a 2006 Small Business Blue Ribbon Business Award from the United States Chamber of Commerce.
This economic development seminar will present a unique opportunity for our local business owners and entrepreneurs to discover innovative ways to grow their own businesses. A question and answer session will be held immediately following the presentation.
