Moultrie Tech EMT Student Saves Toddler's Life Using Skills Learned at MTC
Moultrie Technical College Emergency Medical Technology student Alton Benefield credits the skills he is learning through the MTC EMT program with helping him to save a 2-year-old boy’s life in early July. The child was unconscious after hitting his head and later choked on the food his mother tried to feed him to wake him. Benefield cleared the child’s airway and used a bag valve mask to resuscitate him.
