MTC Emergency Med Tech Students Learn Vehicle Extrication
As a part of the only daytime Emergency Medical Technician course program running in South Georgia, Department of Technical and Adult Education field training officer Wayne Buford, right, instructs Moultrie Technical College student Alton Benefield, left, on how to correctly break car windows and bend metal without harming car accident victims. With the help of EMT instructor Junior Horton the class experimented with the “Jaws of Life” equipment used to extricate victims from vehicles in crisis situations. The vehicles used were donated by Cox Auto Parts of Moultrie. Fall quarter EMT classes will be offered at Moultrie Tech two days a week beginning the first week of October.
