Moultrie Tech's SkillsUSA Begins Annual Toy Drive

MOULTRIE , GA. Moultrie Technical College’s SkillsUSA student organization will continue its annual M. Shane Willis Toy Drive in memory of an MTC student who passed away several years ago.  The drive runs through Saturday, December 9, as MTC SkillsUSA students will be collecting donated toys at Moultrie’s Wal-Mart Supercenter.

According to SkillsUSA advisor and MTC automotive technology instructor Lynn Tanner, “For the past few years this toy drive has helped many children in Colquitt County to receive toys that otherwise would not receive any.”

Donations go to benefit the Colquitt County Christmas Cheer Toy Shop and to supply the pediatric ward at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Tanner says, “[we want] to help brighten a child’s stay while they are sick or injured.”

The college encourages members of the community to bring new toys to the Moultrie Tech campuses on either Veterans Parkway or Industrial Drive. Monetary donations are also accepted by contacting Tanner at 217-4154.
