MTC Criminal Justice Seniors Benefit from Local Victim Advocates

David Miller, Southern Judicial Circuit, spoke with Moultrie Technical College’s Criminal Justice upperclassmen regarding the importance of Victims’ Rights in our justice system.  The advocates offered the students a glimpse into their trying, albeit rewarding, daily activities. MTC maintains a remarkable relationship with the local Assistant District Attorney as they have allowed several students to complete required internships in their office.

Brandon Back, MTC Criminal Justice instructor, said of the advocates, “I am very appreciative of our speakers’ time.  Students always benefit from question/answer sessions with experienced ‘in-field’ professionals.  On parting, several were inquiring as to how one volunteers to assist the DA’s office with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week in April.”
