Moultrie Tech Wins National College Advertising Awards

ATLANTA , GA — The Admissions Marketing Report announced the winners of its 22nd Annual Admissions Advertising Awards on February 8, 2007. Moultrie Technical College came away with two gold awards in this year’s competition in the Technical, Vocational and Business College category.
Moultrie Tech won first place awards for Best Single Newspaper Ad for its “Anywhere. Anytime. Online.” advertisement featuring online supervisory management student Leslie Peretti of Moultrie and for Best Public Relations Campaign for the “Stay the Course…Stay
in School” grant campaign materials.
The “Stay in School” performance grant campaign is promoted in Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth counties and includes in-class presentations in all area middle schools using a 13-minute video, an employment outlook view book, wall b anners and monthly guidance tip sheets for counselors and their students. The grant is a part of Governor Sonny Perdue’s Stay in School initiative which supports Georgia’s technical colleges in identifying strategies in the 8 th, 9 th and 10 th grades that seem to have positive results in keeping students in school and promoting high school and college graduation.
“We are really honored to receive these awards this year. The college as a whole works hard to project a positive image for technical education and specifically for Moultrie Tech. I am especially proud of our achievements with the ‘Stay in School’ grant campaign,” says Jana Wiggins, MTC director of marketing and public relations. “That campaign was truly a group effort and all the materials were custom-created by the Moultrie Tech team. But it will really be a success if the campaign helps curb the area’s high school dropout rate.”
Dr. Tina Anderson, president of Moultrie Tech, says “I am very proud of the work of Moultrie Technical College’s creative team. The ads are truly professional and designed to benefit our target market of students. The Admissions Marketing Report award is an affirmation of the great effort that goes into our ad campaigns.”
