MTC Tifton PBL Stuffs Patticake House with Furry Friends

Moultrie Technical College’s Tifton Campus Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) club, a student organization designed to promote business and leadership skills, collected stuffed animals to donate to the Patticake House during the month of February. The Patticake House serves children in Tift, Turner, Irwin and Worth counties and was developed to model and promote excellence in child abuse response and prevention. The stuffed animals will be used by the Patticake House as they counsel children in child abuse situations. PBL faculty advisor Becky Richardson said of the project, “It is great to know that a child in this type of situation has something soft to love and squeeze. The students did an excellent job participating in this community service project. We would like to extend a big thank you to our Business Office Technology, Accounting, Medical Assisting, Practical Nursing and various other major students who participated in this project.” Advisors who supervised the project were Richardson, Melody Tawzer, Susan Davis and Dale Fordham.
