MTC Tifton PBL Succeeds
in District Competition
Moultrie Technical College’s Tifton Campus Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Chapter participated in District Competition at Southwest Georgia Technical College in Thomasville, Georgia on February 23, 2007. The students competed in areas such as Computer Concepts, Public Speaking, Hospitality Management, Network Design, Job Interview, Sales Presentation and Accounting Principles. Kim Ray placed 3rd in Business Communications and 2nd in Human Resource Management. Amy Morris Williams placed 1st in Financial Analysis and Decision Making and 1st in Parliamentary Procedures. Dwan Austin placed 2nd in International Business and 3rd in Hospitality Management. Wymika Taylor placed 3rd in Public Speaking. The students have earned the right to compete at State Competition which will be held April 13-15, 2007 in Atlanta. Attending the competition with the students was PBL Advisor Becky Richardson. Phi Beta Lambda is a student organization that strives to teach leadership and business skills. PBL students pictured, left to right, are Amy Morris Williams, Wymika Taylor, Dwan Austin and Kim Ray.
