Bone Marrow Testing Drive Highlights

Our Bone Marrow Donor Testing Drive on June 8th was a great success!  Thanks to all of you who came to be tested and the Moultrie Campus LPN and Medical Assisting students who volunteered as testers throughout the day.  Over 300 people volunteered to be tested at either MTC or CRMC that day, and we were able to accept a total of 205 tissue samples to be sent to the National Bone Marrow Registry program.  If a successful transplant results from our drive at any time in the future, we will be notified by the Registry.  Let’s hope that is the case!

Local Colquitt County resident Carolyn Tallman, a cancer patient who will begin her own bone marrow transplant process in July, attended the drive and motivated the volunteers and potential donors.
