MTC Foundation Awards Summer Scholars
The Moultrie Technical College Foundation, Inc. recently awarded seven students with scholarships to help cover their Summer Quarter class books and supplies through the MTC Bookstores in Moultrie and Tifton. Book scholarships are provided through the college’s internal fundraising campaign in which MTC faculty and staff members from Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth counties donate a portion of their monthly salaries to help students and to meet other pressing needs of the college. This quarter’s scholarship recipients are Carol Bennett, Valyncia Daniels, Charles Reed, Jackie Sweat and Wanda Walker, all students at the Tifton campus, Dexter Cooney of the Moultrie campus and Shanina High of the Turner County campus in Ashburn.
