TIFTON , GA. More than 50 local businesses and industries will assemble on Thursday, November 8, 2007, at Moultrie Technical College’s Tifton Campus Conference Center from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for the 2007Community Career Fair. Moultrie Tech, the Tifton office of the Georgia Department of Labor and the Tiftarea Employer Committee will join forces to present the event.
The event is open to the public as well as all Moultrie Tech students and graduates. The purpose of this event is to familiarize the businesses and industries in our region and job seekers with one another. Whether or not employers have jobs to offer at this time, job seekers will be interested in learning about local companies and what skills they would expect their employees to possess.
In turn, businesses may find matches for future employment. Industries represented at the fair will include health care, industrial manufacturing, and sales and banking, among others.
“ Moultrie Technical College’s fall quarter will end on December 14; therefore, business and industries will have the first opportunity to meet the college’s newest class of well-trained graduates,” says Joy Warnock, MTC coordinator of career services.
Additionally, all job seekers are encouraged to bring updated resumes and all information necessary to complete job applications on site. Furthermore, to create a positive first impression with employers, Warnock urges participants to come dressed in business attire.
Admission and parking for the fair are free. All participants who register at the door will be eligible for door prizes throughout the day.
