Close to 150 members of the MoultrieTechnicalCollege winter and spring quarter graduating classes of 2007 moved their tassels in a semi-annual Commencement ceremony held Friday evening, June 15, at Withers Auditorium in Moultrie. The college recognized 223 technical certificate of credit, degree and diploma program graduates in addition to its 136 GED program graduates from the college's four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth. Electronics Technology instructor and 2006 Instructor of the Year Award winner Andy Clark led the faculty, staff and graduate processional as the event’s marshal. MTC board of directors members Kent Hamilton of Southern Valley Farms and Will Vereen of Riverside Manufacturing Company assisted the college's administration in the conferring of awards. Highlights of the evening included an invocation by MTC 2007 GOAL winner and Medical Assisting program graduate Brandy Harrell and an inspirational solo rendition of “I Hope You Dance” by Neuromuscular Therapy instructor Amber Schwalls in honor of the first graduating class of the program.
