Moultrie Tech Turner County Campus Celebrates Recent GED Graduates

Turner County Graduates

Moultrie Technical College celebrated its summer and fall quarter graduating classes of 2007 at a semi-annual Commencement ceremony held Friday evening, December 14, at Withers Auditorium in Moultrie.  The college recognized 130 GED program graduates, in addition to 220 certificate, diploma and associate degree program graduates, from the college's four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth.  Thirteen of those GED graduates were from the college’s Turner County campus program in Ashburn, which is led by instructor Melissa Burtle, pictured far right.  Pictured, left to right, in their trademark “MTC teal” caps and gowns are Turner County GED graduates Latasha Martin, Julie McDonald and Winston Sturdivant, along with daytime GED instructor Rosalie Parker, far left.  Not pictured is evening GED instructor Glenda Hobby.  The program has also produced 55 level completions from GED students during summer and fall quarters.  For more information on GED classes and testing in Turner County, contact GED instructor Melissa Burtle at 567-4280 or the MTC Turner campus main office at 567-2045.  Additional information is available by logging on to www.moultrietech.edu and clicking on the Adult Literacy tab.
