On March 30, 2007, Lester Potts, Moultrie Technical College, was awarded Chamber Champion of the Quarter. Lester is the Campus Supervisor for Moultrie Technical College’s Sylvester campus.

Moultrie Technical College serves over 2,000 degree, diploma and certificate students on five campuses in Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth counties and through online studies.  Its newest campus is right here in Sylvester across from Worth County High School at 1210 North Monroe Street where the college offers Cosmetology, Business Office Technology and general core classes in the evenings. Financial aid is available for students who qualify through Georgia’s HOPE grant and HOPE scholarship programs, in addition to other federal aid options.  Ninety-eight percent of the school’s graduates leave an MTC campus and walk into jobs in their fields of study in the Southwest Georgia job market and beyond. MTC also offers numerous continuing education courses and adult literacy classes and administers the GED examination. For a complete list of programs and courses by campus and online, log on to www.moultrietech.edu or call the college at (229) 891-7000 or directly in Sylvester at 777-2177.

The Chamber Champions Team members are the Chamber’s special volunteers who act as ambassadors for the Chamber and work as liaisons between the Chamber and the business community.
