Moultrie Tech Goes Extreme for
High School Seniors
Moultrie Technical College's Veterans Parkway campus opened its doors to high school seniors from Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth counties at the college’s annual Open Campus Day held February 8. Pulling out all the stops with an Extreme Sports theme, MTC faculty and staff members displayed booths with information and demonstrations representing the 140 diploma, degree and certificate programs available to students. High school seniors learned about the different educational options available at MTC while also trying their hands at driving a NASCAR simulator, climbing an outdoor rock wall and skiing computerized Alpine slopes. MTC’s Electronics Technology department unveiled its “Monster Jukebox”, which was completely designed, built and wired by the program’s students, with a 2000-watt high-tech stereo system, plasma screen television, wheel “spinners” and neon lights.
