Moultrie Tech Inducts 16 into Honor Society
MOULTRIE , GA. Moultrie Technical College inducted 16 students into its National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) organization at the college’s semi-annual ceremony on May 22 at the Veterans Parkway Campus in Moultrie. Inducted students represent the college’s four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth.

NTHS is a non-profit honor organization for students enrolled in occupational and technical programs at the college level.
President Tina Anderson, vice-president of Student Services Scott Hudson, vice-president of Instruction Jim Glass, Director of Career Services and NTHS advisor Lisa Griffin assisted with the induction ceremony. Nominating instructors pinned these students as they were inducted with the official NTHS pin.
NTHS inductees must be diploma or degree seeking students, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75, have completed at least 45 credit hours, have a satisfactory work ethics evaluation and be nominated by a Moultrie Technical College instructor.
Benefits of NTHS membership include special recognition at graduation, a diploma seal and letters of recommendation to potential employers when students begin their job searches following graduation.
According to the national office of NTHS, many employers specifically seek new hires through the organization because of the high level of work ethics and intelligence found in its members.
This quarter’s inductees are Nancy Franks, Accounting Technology; Theresa Wright, Automotive Technology; Carissa Perry, Regina Strickland and Cynthia Warren, Business Office Technology; Nathaniel Hiers, Computer Information Systems; Jessica Tolbert, Cosmetology; Garry Forrester and James Hay, Drafting and Design Technology; Teresa Barnes, Jacqueline Bryant and Lisa Dozier, Early Childhood Care and Education; Lora Allen, and Judy Broxton, Medical Assisting; Marie Sammons, Practical Nursing; and Jeffrey Lyon, Radiologic Technology.
