Moultrie Tech Programs Shine at Turner Elementary Career Fair
Turner County Elementary School held their first Career Fair on April 3rd, and Moultrie Technical College was invited to feature careers in Cosmetology, Early Childhood Care and Education and Commercial Truck Driving. Instructor Donna Waters and her Cosmetology students demonstrated various haircuts and styles while Nail Technology students demonstrated manicures and pedicures as well as nail art. Instructor Peggy Wilson and her Early Childhood students taught children the importance of character and ethics by having the students create puppets. The MTC Tifton campus brought the college’s semi-truck, which was a big hit with the children. Many of them were heard saying, “I want to be truck driver when I grow up.” Computer Information Systems instructor Allen Saylor and instructor Jerry Gunn and his Industrial Electrical Construction students helped with the truck. Turner County Elementary School principal Tim Huff is pictured while getting the star treatment from an MTC Nail Tech student.
