A crowd of about 50 gathered at the Colquitt County courthouse annex to bring attention to victims’ rights on Tuesday, April 15. Of the 23 million crime victims created each year in the U.S., 5.2 million are victims of violent crimes. New ones are created locally almost every day. Moultrie Technical College’s Criminal Justice program students assisted the district attorney’s victim advocacy program in the organization of the event.
