Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX), the student marketing management organization at Moultrie Technical College (MTC), recently kicked-off its annual campus wide food drive for the Colquitt County Food Bank as its fall quarter community service project.

The members hosted a luncheon with special guest Andy Jordan, the director of the local food bank. Jordan talked to the club members about the services provided by the food bank and the need for community involvement.  He told the members, “The Food Bank served about 2000 families last year.”

The food drive will run from November 14 through December 12. Items being collected are nonperishable food products.

MTC DEX chapter president Karina Ventura said, “I would like to encourage campus wide participation in this project. I feel that the students and faculty of Moultrie Technical College understand the importance of supporting the Colquitt County Food Bank in its endeavors. No one should have to go hungry, especially during the holiday season.”
DEX is the college division of the Distributive Education Clubs of America, DECA, and is the only student organization operating in the public post secondary school system dedicated exclusively to developing future leaders for marketing and management.
