MTC Turner County GED Students Get Sneak Peek at College Life

Moultrie Technical College’s Turner County Campus held its first local “GED to MTC Day” on December 4 and offered its Adult Education students a sneak Peek at the possibilities of life in college. The purpose of the event was to familiarize current GED-seeking students with the many certificate, diploma and associate degree credit programs available at Moultrie Tech, but particularly through the MTC Turner County Campus in Ashburn. Adult Education instructor Melissa Burtle said, “I think the students received a lot of helpful information, and their response to the program was very positive. Hopefully, many of them will be enrolled in the credit program soon. “ MTC Industrial Electrical Technology instructor Jerry Gunn, pictured far right, highlighted the high tech careers that can be explored through hands-on training in his laboratory and classroom on the local campus.
