 |
 |
Juan Llamas and Alan Thompson, 2007 graduates of Moultrie Technical College’s industrial systems technology program which specializes in heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC), received starter tool packages from Klein Tools on January 11 th at Moultrie’s South Georgia Electrical Supply Company. As the top students in their graduating class under the instruction of Moultrie Tech’s Lavon Miller, Llamas and Thompson earned American-made electrical and maintenance tools to help them begin their careers in the HVAC business. The Klein Tools company, based out of Chicago, Illinois, and in business since 1857, donated the starter tools as a part of their union and non-union apprentice program which assists career and technical college students throughout the United States. Pictured, left to right, are South Georgia Electrical Supply co-owner Lamar Harvell, Thompson, Klein Tools district sales manager Mike Hillman, Llamas, and South Georgia Electrical Supply co-owner Randy Gay. Harvell and Gay serve as members of the business and industry advisory committee for the industrial systems technology program at Moultrie Tech.
