City of Tifton Mayor Jamie Cater signed a proclamation naming November 15, 2008, American Free Enterprise Day with the encouragement of Moultrie Technical College's Tifton campus Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapter. PBL chapters across the country observe November 15th as a time to celebrate our free enterprise system and to focus on our rights to pursue whatever career we desire and our right to entrepreneurship and free enterprise itself. Jean M. Buckley, FBLA-PBL, Inc. president and CEO, said, “This is our time to understand, celebrate and appreciate American enterprise and entrepreneurship and for members to take ownership in the rights and responsibilities to protect and promote this freedom.” Pictured seated, from left, is MTC PBL Advisor and Business Office Technology instructor Susan Davis, Mayor Cater and MTC PBL president Jennifer Davis.
