Moultrie Tech Shines at State SkillsUSA Competition

In mid-April at Heart of Georgia Technical College in Dublin almost two dozen Moultrie Technical College students competed against hundreds of other students from technical colleges across the state in the 2008 SkillsUSA Post-Secondary Conference. Many from MTC came away with medals hung from their necks, and one was elected as a state officer.
Of the 20 students and seven advisors who traveled to the competition, the following students placed in their individual and team contests:

MTC Construction student Simmie Hall was elected as a 2008-2009 SkillsUSA state officer and will be named to a specific office by the end of May.
Those with first place finishes at the state level have garnered themselves the opportunity to compete in Kansas City, Missouri, in June at the 2008 SkillsUSA National Conference and will travel with several Moultrie Tech SkillsUSA advisors and instructors to the event.
