Literacy Essay Winner

Moultrie Technical College’s Tift County Campus Adult Education program recently held an essay contest to promote September’s Literacy Awareness Month and International Literacy Day with writings submitted on “Why Reading is Important to Me”. Tiffany Garey, an Adult Education student pursuing her GED, was the first place winner. She won a $25 gift certificate from Applebees Neighborhood Bar & Grill. The contest judges were Certified Literate Community Program Director Dondi Bargeron, Literacy Volunteers of Tifton-Tift County board member Luz Marti, and Dick Marti.
