Moultrie Tech Tifton Adult Education Aids in Area's Job Readiness

The Job Readiness Training Program held its student recognition ceremony at Moultrie Technical College-Tifton campus on June 3. The keynote speaker was Wayne Mack, from the Georgia Department of Labor, speaking on behalf of Commissioner Michael Thurmond. The Job Readiness Training Program is designed to help local students get their GED and prepare resumes. It teaches steps in finding and maintaining a job.
“The students are here not just to better their literacy, they are trying to better their ability to perform on the job,” said Liz Carson Keith, executive director of adult education at Moultrie Technical College. According to Keith, two of the main goals of this program are to teach the students to be competent and work certified.
