Moultrie Tech Stuffs Victims’ Advocate Program with Furry Friends

CRJ Teddy Bear Outreach

Moultrie Technical College’s Moultrie Campus Criminal Justice program collected new stuffed animals to donate to the Colquitt County Victims’ Advocate Program in November and December for the first-ever Teddy Bear Outreach.  The stuffed animals will be used to comfort children who are victims of crime or victims of violent circumstances.  The Victim Advocate Program provides stuffed animals to local law enforcement officers who may come in contact with child victims.  The program also helps the families of child victims from throughout this year at Christmas with gifts, and some of the animals collected will be used for that purpose.  Pictured, left to right, are MTC Criminal Justice instructor Tara Rakestraw, Assistant District Attorney Brian McDaniel, students Dominique Deberry, Dolly Boyd, and Shannon Green, Victim Advocate Karen Ambrose, Assistant District Attorney April Senn, students Beth Smithwick, and Stephanie Moore, and Assistant District Attorney Michelle Thomas.
