MTC Turner County Students Represented at Annual GOAL Honors Event

Turner County Campus GOAL 2009 Nominees

Moultrie Technical College (MTC) announced its 35 student nominees and four finalists for the 2009 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) on February 17 with four of the nominees hailing from the MTC Turner County Campus.  Early Childhood Care and Education student Sue Mastrario, pictured second from the left, was also chosen as one of the top four finalists.  Annual GOAL winners represent MTC as the Student of the Year.  All 37 of Georgia’s technical colleges statewide, including four with technical divisions in the university system, present these awards. Local winners serve as ambassadors to their communities on behalf of their colleges.  Moultrie Tech’s winner, Accounting Technology student Kimberly Hancock of the Moultrie Campus, named at a luncheon on March 2nd, will represent the college in its four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth.  A statewide winner will be selected in May and will travel the state for a full year on behalf of Georgia’s Technical College System.  MTC Turner County Campus GOAL nominees pictured at the awards luncheon are, left to right, Business Administrative Technology student Tabitha Glover, Mastrario, Business Administrative Technology student Julie McDonald, and Cosmetology student Alexis LeBlanc.
