Nurse Pinning - Tifton

Moultrie Technical College’s Tifton Campus held its semi-annual Nurse Pinning Ceremony for summer quarter on December 16th at the college’s Tifton conference center.  The ceremony honored eight graduates from the MTC Tifton Campus Practical Nursing program, which requires six quarters of in-class study and many hours of hands-on clinical experience in area hospitals and physicians’ offices.  The graduates will sit for the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses exam within the next month to become eligible to be employed as nurses.  Graduates pictured prior to their candle lighting ceremony are, front row from left, Shirley Jones, Kayla Elliott, Tonya Eakins and Tricia Denham.  Pictured, second row from left, are Kathy Weeks, Jo’Shondria Slade, Hope Royals and Maria Juan.  Slade was honored with the class leadership award for outstanding academic leadership accomplishments and clinical training leadership qualities.
