Moultrie Tech Foundation Awards Summer Book Scholarships

The Moultrie Technical College Foundation, Inc. recently awarded ten students with scholarships to help cover their Summer Quarter 2009 class books and supplies through the MTC Bookstores in Moultrie, Tifton and Ashburn. Book scholarships are provided through the college’s internal fundraising campaign in which MTC faculty and staff members from Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth counties donate a portion of their monthly salaries to help students and to meet other pressing needs of the college not covered through state-allocated funds. This quarter’s scholarship recipients are, from the MTC Moultrie campus, Mitchell Carter, Donna Lastinger, and Tomacina Thomas; from the MTC Tifton campus, Scarlet Garvey, Connie Herin, Cassandra Wiley and Renata Williams; and from the MTC Turner County campus, Samantha Ezell, Linda Mathews and Jessica Rice.
