Literacy Essay Winner

Moultrie Technical College’s Industrial Drive Campus Adult Education program recently held an essay contest to promote Literacy Awareness Month with writings submitted on “How Reading Makes Me Smarter”. Kayla Mercer, an Adult Education student and recent GED graduate, pictured right, was the first place winner. She received a Moultrie Technical College binder donated by the MTC Foundation. Mercer is the daughter of Randy and Donna Mercer of Moultrie and was homeschooled prior to obtaining her GED.
