Ashburn Campus Students - Samaritan's Purse

Moultrie Technical College Turner County Campus students have worked hard on community service during the Fall quarter.  Donna Waters’ Cosmetology class prepared shoe boxes for the Samaritan’s Purse organization. This charity collects Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children in foreign countries. These gifts are sent in shoe boxes full of surprises. Waters’ class raised money and supplies for 11 boxes to send to the Samaritan Purse. From Ashburn to Atlanta, the boxes will travel to Africa, Indonesia and other countries. Last year over seven million shoe boxes were sent to children across the world.  Waters’ Cosmetology students also worked at the Fall Festival at the Turner County Elementary School on October 26 at booths to raise money to fight cancer through the Turner County Relay for Life event.  Pictured, front row, left to right, are Ealon Arant, Donna Waters, Cindy Taft, Teresa Lawson and Rachel Jeffers.
