DEX Students Qualify for International Venue

MOULTRIE, GA.  Eight Marketing Management Students from Moultrie Technical College participated in the Georgia Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) Career Development Conference February 12-14 in Atlanta, and five are now eligible to participate in the International Delta Epsilon Chi Conference. 

Jason Earley earned first place honors in the Restaurant and Food Service Management competition, while Connie Cannon took third.  In the Hospitality competition, Rosemary Meza brought home a first place prize with fellow MTC DEX member Michelle Coronado taking fourth.

Three students took second place in their respective categories; Joe Drew in Sales Representative Presentation, Ezekiel Holton in the Fashion Merchandising and Marketing Business Simulation, and  Leslie Pollock in Prepared Design Presentation.

Rebecca Clark, MTC Marketing Management Instructor and DEX advisor said, “I am very proud of each of these students and the recognition they earned.  All of first and second place winners are now eligible to participate in the International Career Development Conference that will be held this April in Louisville, Kentucky.”

Clark was also appointed to the State Executive Board as State Officer Coordinator.

Delta Epsilon Chi is the college division of the Distributive Education Clubs of America, DECA, and is the only student organization specifically designed to provide leadership and occupational training for students interested in careers in Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship.
