The Moultrie Technical College Foundation announced the winner of its first-ever “Decorate to Educate” fundraiser drawing on October 1. Becky Richardson of Tifton, pictured center, became the lucky recipient of the grand prize of a complete room makeover in her home to include new furniture, fabrics, accessories and painting. MTC Foundation board member and interior designer Dee Dee Collins, pictured right, will oversee the project. All proceeds from the ticket sales, which raised almost $9,000, will go toward student scholarships and other pressing needs of the college in its four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth. Mobley Fine Furniture in Perry and Finishing Touch Interior Design in Tifton were the fundraiser’s gold level sponsors. Other sponsors of “Decorate to Educate” were David Gibbs Painting in Tifton, Bass Tradition House in Moultrie, Traditions Interiors & Gifts in Tifton, Lowes Home Improvement in Moultrie, Betsy’s Fabrics in Albany, Decorating Mart in Atlanta, Atlanta Art & Frame, and Clements Printing Company in Moultrie.
