Moultrie Tech Inducts 26 into Honor Society
Moultrie Technical College inducted 26 of its most accomplished students into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on May 24 at the college’s ceremonies.

Moultrie Technical College inducted 26 students into its National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) organization at the college’s ceremonies on May 24 at the Veterans Parkway Campus in Moultrie and the MTC Tifton Campus. Inducted students represent the college’s four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth.
NTHS is a non-profit honor organization for students enrolled in occupational and technical programs at the college level.
President Tina Anderson, Vice President of Student Affairs Scott Hudson, Executive Vice President Jim Glass, and Director of Library Services and NTHS advisor Udella Spicer assisted with the induction ceremony.
NTHS inductees must be diploma or degree seeking students, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75, have completed at least 45 credit hours, have a satisfactory work ethics evaluation and be nominated by a Moultrie Technical College instructor.
Benefits of NTHS membership include special recognition at graduation, a diploma seal and letters of recommendation to potential employers when students begin their job searches following graduation.
According to the national office of NTHS, many employers specifically seek new hires through the organization because of the high level of work ethics and intelligence found in its members.
This quarter’s inductees are Air Conditioning Technology students Ken Johnson, Jim Harrison Rhodes and Gary Rogers; Business Administrative Technology students Janice Baldree, Carin Brooks, Melissa Driskell, Jackie Gibbs, Mary Lane, April Martin and Margo Ransom; Computer Information Systems student Patricia Anne McCrary; Construction Trades students Rufus Akinyemi, Corey Bailey, William Brown and Cavishaun Cole; Cosmetology students Willie Avery, Austin Alexis Henry and Amber Tharpe; Criminal Justice Technology students Peggy Lee, Crystal Maxwell and Audie Perry, Sr.; Early Childhood Care and Education students Donny Pitts and Linda Mathews; Industrial Electrical Construction student Alex Essington; Marketing Management student Karina Ventura-Fondon; and Practical Nursing student Regenia Meister.
