Moultrie Tech Holds Stick 'Em Up Day for Semester Conversion
![]() |
Moultrie Technical College students and faculty and staff members in Colquitt, Tift and Turner counties blanketed their MTC campuses by hanging posters and banners and wearing lapel stickers during the first-ever Q2S Stick ‘Em Up Day on December 9. The special day was held to create awareness of the change from the current quarter calendar system to a semester calendar, effective Fall 2011. Using the Quarter-to-Semester (Q2S) color-changing chameleon mascot, students’ stickers helped remind them that “Change Is Coming” and of the importance of meeting with their academic advisors to help them stay on track toward graduation. All 26 institutions in Georgia’s Technical College System will make the conversion to semesters next fall. For more information on Q2S, log on to www.tcsgsemester411.com.
