Moultrie Technical College Turner County Campus students Teresa Lawson, left, and Calizza Boatwright, right, were elected to serve as officers in the MTC Student Leadership Council (SLC). Moultrie Tech’s SLC is made up of officers from student organizations such as Phi Beta Lambda, Delta Epsilon Chi, SkillsUSA and the Roentgen Ray Society and representatives from each academic program area at each of the college’s four campuses in Moultrie, Tifton and Ashburn. The SLC exists to make financial decisions regarding the expenditure of student activity funds on behalf of the entire MTC student body. Lawson, a Cosmetology major, was elected vice president, and Boatwright, an Allied Health programs major, was elected parliamentarian. Both will attend the state Student Leadership Conference in Atlanta in November.
