MTC Supporters Get Locked-up in Luxury

Luxury Lockup

Moultrie Technical College’s (MTC) Foundation treated generous community members to a day of beauty and relaxation on March 11 for raising at least $500 each toward scholarships and emergency assistance for students in Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth counties.  These friends of the MTC Foundation received 30-minute deep tissue massages from MTC’s Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) program students, facials from Esthetics students, and manicures and pedicures from Cosmetology students as a reward for their efforts for the College at the first-ever Luxury Lockup event.  MTC Foundation board member DeeDee Collins of Tifton chaired the fundraiser.  According to MTC Foundation Director Darbie Avera, the event raised over $10,000 during a time when student requests for financial assistance is at an all-time high.  Pictured on the therapy table is MTC Foundation supporter Dr. Elaine Barber of Moultrie receiving her complimentary massage treatment from NMT program students  Anna Haire and Faith Crosby.
