MTC Foundation Receives Donation From American Proteins

 

The Moultrie Technical College (MTC) Foundation, Inc. received a $1,500 donation from American Proteins, Inc. on January 25, 2011, at the college’s Veterans Parkway Campus in Moultrie.  American Proteins is a family-owned business specializing in animal byproduct rendering with three locations, including one in Cuthbert.  Company CEO Tommy Bagwell and his wife Chantal established the Bagwell Family Scholarship Endowment to provide scholarships for technical college students attending campuses near their business locations.  The MTC Foundation, Inc. exists to raise funds for student scholarships, library resources, instructional equipment and other pressing needs of the college in its four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth.  Pictured, left to right, are MTC Executive Vice President Jim Glass, MTC Foundation Director Darbie Avera and American Proteins Human Resource Manager Norman Barber of the Cuthbert division.
