The Moultrie Technical College chapter of Collegiate DECA combined their annual community service projects into one drive benefitting both the Serenity House and the Colquitt County Food Bank. On December 1, members of MTC’s Collegiate DECA organization delivered approximately 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Colquitt County Food Bank as well as loading a truck-full of clothing, toys and household goods for the Serenity House. Club advisors said, “The student organization is thankful and proud of the students, faculty and staff of Moultrie Technical College for their generosity and support in making the drive an annual success.” Collegiate DECA is the college division of the Distributive Education Clubs of America. The student-driven organization assists in developing community oriented and academically prepared leaders of tomorrow. Members are composed of a variety of academic programs with a strong focus on business-related fields.
