Tifton PBL Students to Compete at Nationals

The Tifton Campus chapter of Moultrie Technical College’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) student organization traveled to Atlanta in April to participate in the 2011 PBL State Conference and Competition.  Phi Beta Lambda is a student organization which promotes business and leadership skills.  By placing either first or second in a  state PBL performance event or first, second or third in a state PBL written event, two MTC Tifton Campus students qualified to compete at the national conference to be held in Orlando, Florida, in late June.  Stephanie Bentley placed first in the Hospitality Management competition, and Gloria White rated third in the Telecommunications category.  Both Bentley and White will continue on to the national competition.  Lacreshia Baisden took fifth in Sports Management, while Sherry Rainey  placed fifth in both the Financial Concepts and Cyber Security arenas.  Jaleesa Randall was named to Who’s Who in PBL.  Pictured, left to right, are Baisden, Randall, Rainey, Bentley and White.
