The upcoming 2011 Community Career Resource Fair in Tifton on October 13 could be the key to give weary job seekers a boost in a competitive employment field.
More than 50 local businesses and industries will assemble at Moultrie Technical College’s Tifton Campus Conference Center from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for the 2011 Community Career Resource Fair.
Moultrie Tech and the Tifton office of the Georgia Department of Labor will join forces to present the event to familiarize the businesses and industries in our region and job hunters with one another.
The event is open to the public as well as all Moultrie Tech students and graduates. Whether or not employers have jobs to offer at this time, job seekers will benefit from learning about local companies and what skills they would expect their employees to possess. In turn, businesses may find matches for future employment.
“Moultrie Technical College’s fall semester will end on December 13; therefore, businesses and industries will have the first opportunity to meet the college’s newest class of upcoming and well-trained graduates with the addition of students from several new programs, including the GreenTift program,” says Bridgett Adams, MTC career services specialist.
Additionally, all job seekers are encouraged to bring updated resumes and all information necessary to complete job applications on site. Furthermore, to create a positive first impression with employers, Adams urges participants to come dressed in business attire. Because this is a professional event and space is limited, no children or strollers will be permitted.
