Moultrie Tech Foundation Plans First MTC Tifton Golf Tournament

The Moultrie Technical College (MTC) Foundation and the MTC Tifton campus have announced the beginning of a new event that promises to bring avid golfers out in March for a good cause – to provide local training scholarships.

The First Annual MTC Foundation Golf Tournament is planned for Monday, March 22, at the Spring Hill Country Club in Tifton.  Shotgun start kicks off at 1:00 p.m.

All proceeds will go to benefit the MTC Foundation and the MTC Department of Economic Development and Continuing Education to fund local scholarships.

The MTC Foundation exists to provide student scholarships, instructional equipment and library resources and to meet other pressing needs of the College not covered through state-allocated funds.

The tournament will register four-person teams at $300.00 each, while individuals are welcome register as well.  The MTC Foundation will offer additional incentives such as a six-hole scramble, six-hole best ball and six-hole alternate shot contests.  Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place teams.  An awards ceremony and reception will follow the tournament.

There are tax-deductible sponsorship opportunities available at various levels such as major, hole and lunch sponsors.

Interested golfers or sponsors should contact event coordinators Kelly Weeks at 229-391-2635 or via email at kweeks@moultrietech.edu or Lauren Pope at 229-391-2645 or by email at lpope@moultrietech.edu for registration forms and additional information.
