The Georgia Virtual Technical College (GVTC) brings together the resources of 34 accredited technical colleges to expand program offerings.

Responsibilities

The following outlines the responsibilities for MTC online students.

Online Student Checklist

  1. Complete the online orientation course, " MTC Online 101." You may register for the orientation through Banweb, or email the online staff at online@moultrietech.edu to request to be enrolled in Online 101. This is a mandatory, one-time orientation course that will take 2 -3 hours to complete. You will be granted access to your requested course(s) upon completion of the orientation course.

  2. Make sure you have the required software for the course.

  3. If you have previously completed Online 101, e-mail the instructor before the first day of class to request access to your Blackboard online course (Blackboard is the Internet Course Management website used by MTC online courses). Check the Academic Calendar for dates.

  4. Check for proctored event/exam date(s). Make sure that you schedule the proctored exam 7 days prior to the specified date(s).

  5. Purchase your textbook by the first day of class.
